When do tickets go on sale?

December 2022.

What methods of payment are accepted?

Cash, Debit, Cheque, Money Order, VISA, MasterCard and E-Transfer.

How do I get in the Loyalty Draw?

Anyone who purchases a Dream Home ticket before Loyalty Draw deadline, is automatically in the Loyalty Draw. This includes the Party Pack or any combination of Dream Home tickets.

What is the mailing address to purchase tickets?

Dream Home Lottery,  Box 21320, Grande Prairie AB, T8V 6W7.

Is there an age restriction on purchasing tickets?

Yes. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.

If I am not a resident of Alberta can I still purchase a ticket?

Yes, anyone in the world can win, however the sale must take place in the province of Alberta.

How long does it take to receive a ticket confirmation?

You will be emailed a receipt immediately after your purchase.   We will email your tickets within a week, usually the following Monday, or if an Early Bird deadline week, that Wednesday.   If you choose to have tickets mailed via Canada Post please allow 2 to 3 weeks . You do not need your tickets to claim a prize, this is just for your information.

If I purchase/order tickets will they be in for the next draw?

Yes. All draw cut-offs are several days prior to the draw. This allows us time to collect and process and ensure all tickets are in the system before the actual draw. Your ticket stubs get emailed within 8 days or mailed if you choose within 2 – 3 weeks, but as long as you order or purchase prior to midnight day of the cut off, you will be in the draw.

How do I know my tickets are in the draw?

All Dream Home Lottery,  Cash Jackpot 50-50(TM) and Cash Cow Calendar draws will be made under the supervision of a Raffle Manager licensed by AGLC.   Tickets will be reconciled before draws via a third party auditor.

The Cash Jackpot 50-50(TM) and Cash Cow Calendar and The Dream Home Lottery draws will be made using Gaming Lab Certified random number generator (RNG) software, provided by an AGLC registered Electronic Raffle System provider.

Is the ticket tax deductible/do you get a tax receipt?

No, there is no tax receipt issued as Revenue Canada deems that the purchase of a ticket is not a donation. All lottery winnings are tax free.

How many names can be put on a ticket?

Each ticket or ticket in a set must contain the same information. If you wish to split sets of tickets (such as within an office setting) you should devise a document that explains which ticket number belongs to each individual or you may wish to use this Group Purchase Form. Lottery management is not responsible for resolving any disputes which may arise between multiple purchasers.

Can a ticket be refunded?

Due to the nature of the lotteries business we regret we cannot provide refunds.

Winners

When will the winners names be available?

The winners list will be published on the Dream Home Lottery website www.winadreamhome.ca within 2 days of the final draw.

How will winners be notified?

All winners will be notified by the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie by telephone by Dream Home Lottery representatives about what they have won and how to claim the prize. If a winner cannot be notified after a period of one year from the draw date, the prize or equivalent cash value will be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission.

Are ticket purchasers eligible for all prizes?

Yes, provided the tickets are purchased before any draw deadline. After each Early Bird draw the winning ticket will remain eligible for all remaining prizes.

What all is included with the home prize?

All furniture and appliances stay in the home for the winner!   NOT included is the art,  accessories,  bedding, plants,  and prizes displayed such as vehicles and the BBQ and deck furniture.

Do prizes have to be accepted “as is”?

Prizes must be accepted as awarded. There will be no cash “in lieu of” option. Restrictions apply for the travel prizes.  Please see complete Rules and Regulations.

If I win the home do I have to live in it? What if I want to sell it?

In Canada lottery prizes are tax free and winners are not obligated to live in the home. You could choose to sell it immediately and incur no tax.

What would the property taxes for the home be?

The home is in the County of Grande Prairie  #1.  Property taxes are determined within a year of move in however a good estimate is $7500.00 annually.

Do I need my ticket stub? What if I lose my ticket?

Your tickets are just for your information. If you are a winner all you need is photo I.D.   If you lose your ticket(s) and would like a copy for your reference please visit www.winadreamhome.ca/mytickets
